Silver Valley Doors, is a small family-owned business that has been operating in the Silver Valley since 1975. Mark Bear was an employee of several garage door companies before he and his wife moved to North Idaho in 1974. He soon realized there was a need for a garage door provider in the Silver Valley and launched the business the following year.

Mark’s three sons grew up learning from him in the shop and joined him on installations and service calls when they were old enough, benefitting from his many years of experience. Two of them, Jake and Paul, have become partners in the business, and they now manage the office and the daily schedule, as well as serving customers in the field with new installations and repairs. Employees have worked alongside Mark and his sons at various times, but the family tradition continues as the boys have become owner/operators.
